Rotifers shipped from Reed Mariculture will be packaged in "breathable bags" at 6 C. They will be stored in insulated boxes and contain gel ice packs to maintain that temperature. Upon arrival the rotifers should either be used immediately or put into a refrigerator at 4-8 C. The effective shelf live of rotifers is:
